About the project
Português à Brasileira is a project dedicated to Brazilian Portuguese as it is actually spoken, written, and experienced in Brazil.
Here, language learning goes beyond grammar exercises and vocabulary lists. Through authentic content, podcasts, Brazilian voices, expressions, and cultural perspectives, we explore the language as it exists in everyday Brazilian life.

About the creator
Michael Palmieri
Founder & Language Educator
Michael is a Brazilian Portuguese and English teacher and researcher. He holds degrees in Portuguese and English and a Master’s degree in Portuguese.
His academic work has focused on Brazilian Portuguese, syntax, pronouns, and language variation, while his teaching experience has given him a practical perspective on how language is actually used in everyday communication.
He created Português à Brasileira to bring these two perspectives together: linguistic knowledge and authentic Brazilian Portuguese.
Learning Brazilian Portuguese is about more than learning grammar. It is about understanding how Brazilians actually speak, interact, express themselves, and experience everyday life.
